Lawn Bowls

The Katherine Lawn Bowls Club operates as part of the Katherine Country Club and was established in 1986. It is renowned for its high quality synthetic outdoor green and the variety of activities we offer. The friendliness of its people, makes it a must visit Bowls Club for visitors travelling through the NT. Enjoy a meal and a cold drink after a round of bowls in the cool of the evening.

Our Club has a full-sized eight rink, Pro-Sport Drymax synthetic green. The synthetic green is lightly sanded below the pile and the features are smooth, fast and scratch free surface.

Limited free coaching is available and visitors are always welcome.

Social Competitions

Social Bowls are played Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Please have you name in by 6pm for a 6.30pm start for evening play and name in by 12:30pm for 1pm start for afternoon play. Competition Fees $5 and Juniors $2

NO Whites required.

Wednesday Evening Red Rooster Pairs
Saturday Afternoon Depending on other compeitions, format will depend on numbers

Junior Bowls

Junior Bowls are held for players aged between 9-17 years and are played on Sunday Morning.

Katherine Bowls Club features an active Junior Lawn Bowls Program. Many Katherine Junior Bowlers have been sleected in the NT Junior squad and have gone on to represent the NT in the Annual National Junior sides competition.

Cost for Non-Members is $6.00 per person. See Membership tab for all membership prices.

Booking Form

The bowls green and equipment are available for hire, both during the day and evening for social groups. The club supplies - Bowls, Mats & Kittys on the break & replace basis.
